BASES

The practice of the soclage of works of art in three dimensions, as for the frame, beyond the architectural glance on the work and its living space, asks for the implementation of several techniques, as well as for the use of numerous materials such as the wood, the Plexiglas, the metal, the stone, the glass and many of the others were revisited by the creativity of the socleur. The aesthetic concern consists in realizing a marriage of materials which can be different in the structure of their material, but subtly complementary in the presence of their volume and their chromaticism. It is however essential for the person in charge of the project to become attached first and foremost to the problem of the fixation of the work, which does not have to undergo the slightest ablation, nor the aggression of chemicals, adhesives or quite other element which would lead to irreparable damage and to his depreciation.
